TLDR: Good, honest mechanics not trying to scam you. I found this place after some Google research. I had an unknown issue with my car and I needed it fixed quickly due to my reliance on my car for work. They were able to take my car same day and identify the issues within a few hours. They were honest about pricing, didn't push me to do anything outside of what I came in for. Their rate is similar to other shops in the area, however, they don't try to draw out the diagnosis process, which in turn saves you money. They also worked with me to determine what maintenence could be put off so I could save some money for now. The car was fixed within two days and it's running great. I know there's no shortage of good mechanics in greater Seattle/ Bellevue area but these guys get it done efficiently and without the unnecessary Bellevue markups.

Just took my car (2014 Honda) in again for a routine oil change - usual GREAT service. I have LBR since we moved here in 2010. I have been so happy with them, why would I want to go anywhere else? They are thorough, courteous, and experienced. They don't do tires or wheel alignment, but have recommended others for that and the recommendations are good businesses.

I have been going to LBR for over 5 yrs. I have never taken my car to anyone else for anything I could have LBR do. We always wonder if the mechanic is overcharging or performing work that is not necessary. This is not the case at LBR, time and again they have demonstrated they have my back. Both Ken and Josh demonstrated the utmost care for my vehicle and myself. They are an absolute pleasure to work with. I wish everyone operated with the same level of care, as the two of them! I originally came in because I wasn't happy with the Mercedes Dealership's Service and their insanely high rates. One of my headlights went out and LBR immediately got to work with an extremely fair rate. I had plenty of questions related to my car and servicing and they have answered each one diligently. I also appreciate how they have never made me feel stupid or like I am taking up too much of their time. I have come in a few different times to ask questions and to better understand my car, each time they have been ready to help. They have never overcharged me and I can't say the same about the dealership I used to take my car to. They truly care about their customer and want to take the time to make sure you can understand everything that you want to. At the same time, they are uber professional and extremely knowledgeable and efficient. After my recent experience with them and the trust they quickly built with me, I will exclusively take my car into LBR.

He explained me the whole process and eventually his approach was faster, cheaper and the best outcome for the side mirror replacement. We found our new favorite neighborhood auto shop. We had taken our car to the dealer for an oil change and inspection for a strange sound. The proposed cost of repairs had us ready to sell the car. A friend recommended LBR Auto. Yes, the car needed some work, but none of the expensive repairs the dealer stated were immediately necessary. LBR clearly communicated the work that was truly needed and did the work, all in a timely manner. And, for a fraction of the cost of those “necessary” dealer-made repairs. Thank you Josh and LBR.

had a great experience with them. ken & jason were great. they were quick and efficient, and were also able to troubleshoot and fix an issue that other shops could not. car had an issue with sudden loss of power - went to a toyota dealership with it and they could not figure out, said we can try replacing an alternator, which would cost almost two thousand. so i went to lbr to get a second opinion, they were able to troubleshoot and fix everything in less than an hour at a fraction of the cost. great work and thank you guys!

I had a faulty ABS module for a 2009 Ford Explorer, and Ford no longer makes the required type of module (the Ford dealership told me to “scrap the vehicle!”). No other shop I came across had the ability to reprogram a used ABS module to enable a successful installation in my vehicle . . . these guys completed the work in a day, and at a very reasonable price. I will absolutely go there again for any future auto issues.

Update on 9/18/25 - The manager reached out to me by email after reading my original review and asked how they could improve my experience. After sharing my thoughts about the add on charge for the TPMS investigation, the owner felt it was a communication breakdown and issued a refund for that portion of the invoice. I appreciate the gesture and will keep LBR in mind for future work. Original review: Ended up being a super expensive oil change. I chose to bring my car here because they had an affiliation with Costco and a 15% discount coupon if you print it out from the Costco website. Most full service auto shops that perform oil changes charge about double what you would pay from a lube shop, but it's expected because a courtesy inspection is included. From my past experiences from other full service auto shops in Bellevue is they look over your car and try to discover any potential repairs that may be needed and include a write up or mentions on the phone. This is a way these full service repair shops drum up business and also provide a public service to preemptively find repair problems so drivers don't end up broken down by the side of the road. When I made the appointment online, I mentioned that the TPMS light was on and was thinking that it would be helpful information for them to know as they were doing their inspection. I scheduled the appointment with LBR at 9am about a week in advance, and when I dropped off the car, I asked them how long it would take to do the oil change. The receptionist told me that they would need the car all day, so I had to arrange a ride home instead of just waiting for the short time that normally an oil change would involve, which was an inconvenience. He called me later in the afternoon and told me that the oil change was done and that they scanned my TPMS sensors and found that 3 tires had dead sensors. To replace those 3 it would cost about $940. I mentioned that it sounded very expensive and I would need to shop around. Since I was about to start work, I asked if they could keep my car until the next morning when I could arrange a ride to go pick up the car. They agreed and that was helpful. The next morning, after arranging another ride to pick up my car, I went into the office to pay the bill and discovered that they charged me $150 plus tax to change the oil and added on another $154 to inspect the TPMS lights. I mentioned that tire shops normally inspect the TPMS system for free and it only takes about a minute or two to discover which ones have dead batteries. The receptionist told me that "we're not a tire shop" and it took his mechanic upwards of an hour to diagnose the problem and attempt to reprogram or figure things out with his computer/machine. I got the bill and although I gave the coupon when I checked the car in, there was no discount applied anywhere. When I asked about it, he told me there's no discount for oil changes. I asked why their TPMS inspection add on charge wasn't part of the oil change, and he said he'd "help me out" by giving me a discount on that additional charge and made a big deal about me saving almost $21 with the Costco coupon after he asked his co-worker how to apply a discount on the computer. I just paid the bill and left since we obviously didn't see eye to eye on what a courtesy inspection was the oil change. In conclusion, I feel that the TPMS inspection should have been a part of the courtesy inspection that was on the bill, but it would seem from my experience that LBR has the opinion that their full service courtesy inspection really means no inspection, at least for me. I also feel that it would be more honest, upfront, and helpful to tell me "We're not a tire shop" or "you need a tire shop" from the initial point of contact regarding me mentioning that my TPMS system light was on. I could have put the extra $154 plus tax I had to pay their mechanic to do whatever he was doing towards the actual repair cost from the Costco tire shop, and it would have covered almost half the repair cost.

I had never been to LBR Auto Repair. I was from out of town and was trying to find a place to replace my windshield wipers. I had driven over from Eastern WA with wipers not working. After a couple of calls, I was recommended to LBR from another auto shop. They were so kind! They did not have my Mini Cooper wipers in stock . They ordered not one, but 3 pairs over the next couple days I was in town. I was not a client and literally made them no money! However, they treated me as if I had been a client! I would go back to them for anything, and would recommend them to anyone! It is rare that you find honesty and integrity these days...especially in the car business! Thank you guys so much!! I brought my 2005 gx470 here. I had no clue what was wrong with it, my car was just making bad noises. I called these guys, they instantly picked up and told me I could come in same day for a diagnostic and then we would go from there. They were so helpful and kind over the phone later in the day when going over what was wrong with my car! They explained everything in great depth, and then told me how long it would take and they got it done. They even gave my car a free bath. These people are super kind, knowledgeable, and very helpful!!! Efficient getting in and out. Their service reps are respectful and explain everything well. They seem to be slightly more expensive than other "fast shops" but the quality of work hasn't sent me packing. Their parking and get in / get out are complicated but they do night-time drop off which I found to be easy to do and makes pick up much easier. Big fan of LBR.

Leaving a review in hopes of helping other Tesla owners looking for alternatives to the Tesla service center. Couldn’t find any reviews specifically mentioning work on Teslas, but in talking with LBR it was very apparent they do a ton of work on them and are very familiar with the common issues that affect them, so we decided to give them a try. Like most everyone else has said, this is an extremely fair small business that clearly takes pride in providing honest and excellent service. Everyone we spoke to was kind, genuine, knowledgeable, and generous with their time and insight. The work was completed quickly and well, and they even washed our car prior to returning it—I was sure everyone had stopped doing that years ago, but it was a really nice bonus. They were also forthright that there are some things only Tesla service centers can do and you might have to go to them for those things, but will definitely be coming back here for anything else. Night and day compared to the increasingly terrible experiences we’ve had with service from Tesla.

I have been taking all my family's vehicles to LBR for 10 years and this shop is top notch. If you have a difficult repair that no one seems to be able to figure out, this is your place. Their technical knowledge is outstanding -far better than most auto dealership service centers. I’m from Cincinnati and my Mini Cooper broke down on a bridge between Seattle and Mercer Island. This place was well reviewed when I searched for Mini repairs and though we dropped my car on a Saturday after they were closed and they discovered it Monday when they opened, it was safe on the lot and they repaired several things within a day (I blew a hose primarily) and I had it back Tuesday! After driving about 3,000 miles to get home it still runs like a top, THANK YOU!!!!! And special shout out to Harry for his patience and kindness helping me throughout and even showing me how to check my oil, which they topped off for free, for the long journey home.

Once again LBR exceeded my expectations, They had to order a part, telling it would be about a week. LBR contacted me 3 days later saying they had the part and to come by and they would swap out the ordered part for the damaged one.

Brought my car into LBR auto after an awful experience at the dealership where they claimed that I needed my water pump replaced to resolve a noise that was coming from under the hood. Harry George helped me by getting me checked in the day after and having the team diagnose my car which actually needed the AC compressor replaced instead as well as new spark plugs which haven’t been replaced since I bought the vehicle and I wrongly assumed the dealership would alert me to during my major service appointments. LBR was able to service my car and make all the requested repairs in under 24 hours and the service provided by Harry was exceptional. I would highly recommend bringing your vehicle here for any service or work rather than going to any dealership or other auto service shop in the area. Phenomenal work and very pleased that I chose LBR auto. Will definitely be a returning customer in the future if/when needed.

Took my mother's 2007 Toyota Camry for a front end alignment. LBR not only did the work but also was honest about minor issues that did not need to be fixed. They took into account my 88 year old mother and her needs/driving habits. A Toyota dealer told me I would have to replace most of the front axle to the tune of over 5K and implied it was dangerous to even drive it. I hate it when auto centers try to take advantage of people who don't know things about vehicles. LBR was simply fair and honest explained what the issue was and said it was fine to drive. My mother left feeling safe and relieved! I recommend LBR to anyone who is tried of being taken advantage of by auto shops.

The folks here took care of me and my 2016 Jeep Renegade. Services were performed as prescribed and I did not get any sense of being taken advantage of. I couldn't afford everything needed all at once, which they were flexible with. Helped me understand what was critical and what we could save for a repeat visit. Update 8/17: Mike promptly reach out and offered to investigate the Low Oil and Coolant leak issue. LBR exceeded expectations by investing the necessary time to delve into the matter. They successfully identified a coolant leak that potentially contributed to the problem. Subsequently, they efficiently resolved the issue without any extra cost. Now, the vehicle is performing in line with the expected standards of a Mercedes. We appreciate the high level of professionalism and dedication demonstrated throughout the process. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Took my perfectly running Mercedes GL450 for an regular service A which includes - oil change, filter changes and basic inspection on 7/31. My experience - 1) Over Charged / Unexplained charges - When asked over the phone, I was told the service would cost ~ $280. When I went in the total cost estimate changed to $400 - $480. Final bill was $436. Felt like bait and switch tactics. 2) LOW OIL- 7/31 As I was heading back from the garage, the low oil sign popped up. Promptly called the garage and I was told it could be the oil sensor float that didn't come back to its intended level and not to worry. I am getting LOW OIL warning every other days. 3) LOW COOLANT - 8/1 Next morning, the low coolant sign pops up. Called up LBR and was told that the coolant might have contracted overnight and over top it off with tap water. I topped off the coolant next morning, saw the low coolant pop up again. I see a puddle of coolant on garage floor indicating a leak. HOW DOES a leak randomly appear low engine warning pop up immediately after a service? Spend $400 and received the car with more issues that before. The overall experience left me very disappointed.

LBR is no doubt the best shop in Washington They have skilled techs, good parts delivery, and the people working the front desk are nice and knowledgeable I have brought multiple vehicles to this place and they usually have same day turnaround or early next day at least for the issues I had. Plus quality parts (Bilstein stabilizer for my jeep) You get what you pay for here so this is where I bring all my cars!!!

I had top notch experience here. Harry and I quickly bonded over car breakins and he quoted me fair price for the damages the car thiefs had done to my car. They gave me multiple reliable options and even waived off some of my load by offering me cheaper alternatives. They were willing to take on my car even when it was all booked up for next 2 weeks everywhere in the area. And Harry being a kind person didn't even mention the storage charges for it. Overall very honest and hardworking people here. I highly recommend this place to everyone. I echo other positive reviews I read here.

Wow! I hit a pothole and the car drove a little crooked and steering felt loose. Went to the dealership and they wanted to just replace everything in sight - quoted me 6k. Came here and got it fixed for 216! Will definitely come here again

Harry, you the man thanks for all the help and great customer service! I had bought a ‘08 dodge and had a leak coming from the transmission without realizing it. Called the shop and told them my car issue, they scheduled me in very quickly and I asked for them to run a full car diagnostic. They gave me fair pricing and did AMAZING work. My ‘08 car now drives like I bought a brand new car off the lot!! I have had bad experiences with car mechanics in the past and dreaded having to go to a mechanic. LBR HAS RESTORED MY FAITH IN HUMANITY! I don’t care if I move 4 hours away I will drive any car I have to be looked at here

I was a little annoyed that it was quiet far from where I lived, but the service has been wonderful! They even caught issues I hadn’t specifically come in for.
